hyperallergic: Philipp Otto Runge’s “Color Sphere (Die Farbenkugel)” (1810). The top two images show the surface of the sphere, while the bottom two show horizontal and vertical cross sections. Runge’s Color Sphere and essay “The Duality of Color” contained one of the first attempts to depict a comprehensive and harmonious color system in three dimensions. There is much more heady color theory in our 2010 book On Vision and Colors.

Look at photo and the face will look in different directions depending on what side of your brain you are using. If you see the picture exactly as it is, you are using the left side. When you stare you will see the figure shift; and you will be using your right brain
Very clever photoshopping; notice the profile pic, too.

optical illusion - look at the man in the picture until you realize that he's turned his face
fantastic portrait and optical illusion
See the picture exactly as it is, you are using the Left side of your brain. Stare, the man shifts and you are using the Right side of your brain. You can switch back and forth. Stare to go to Right brain (it trances you out, in an altered state). Think and reason about it and you will move out of the altered state back to the Left side of your brain. (try using the Right side of your brain; stare at his picture and you will see this man turn his face to the side) Did you see him turn his head?
