I've Repined wallpapered stair risers before but I just had to add these, they would give any older house a real Victorian touch if this type of thick embosed paper were used. It will also work in an ultra modern house too working as an eye catcher that would soften up the otherwise hard austere lines that so many mdern homes suffer from ;)
