Boy Meets Boy by David Levithan. John has a lot of friends in the YA field. Levithan was strictly an editor at Scholastic until he wrote this book about a community where a Hogwarts-like air of acceptance and quirkiness envelops it's members. Great for anyone longing to belong--or for an LGBT book for teens that's lighthearted and cute!
Everything about the story was ordinary and acceptable. Then literally in the last 5 minutes of the play, it took a turn for the worse and put Robert Pattinson in the 911 situation. Their moral was to "live in the moment", but it was just a shocking and too abrupt ending.
