"The Bells of St. Mary's" (1945). At a big city Catholic school, Father O'Malley and Sister Benedict indulge in friendly rivalry, and succeed in extending the school through the gift of a building. That's the bare bones of the plot, but there is so much more to this great classic.
Fabulous performances from Streisand and Sharif, who just passed away, and the music is out of this world. I don't know why Streisand thought she was 'ugly' in this film. She was as beautiful as I've ever seen her. More
