Universal Homework Model- interesting video from Whole Brain Teaching-research shows that homework has little to no value in elementary school, but we shouldn't totally give it up since it does prove beneficial in middle and high school. Objectives Board This is the first year I have used an daily agenda. I stole the circular pattern from my teaching teammate... She's awesome!. I combined it with the learning objectives... so its an objective agenda board! Thats a mouthful! I write the objectives in "kid friendly language" and box or underline important concepts and words. It's clear and easy and everyone knows what we are doing! ...So simple... Its a keeper!

The Teacher Organizer: Objectives Board I think this is amazing! What a great way to keep myself on track, help students to know/remember our goals, and be accountable. I could take a photo of the board each day and share it with parents and keep a copy for my virtual day book. I am definitely doing this...now for a larger white board...
The Teacher Organizer: Objectives Board.... I would use this for Learning Targets.

Students have to write in a log every time they do not turn in their homework on time and explain themselves. This helps teachers keep track of how many times the same student does not do his/her homework, makes students think about why they did not do their homework, and establishes accountability.

hahaha this is perfect. Ive seen other kinds of no homework binders in classrooms during observations or subbing and they either had blank homework sheets to take and re-do or blank paper with excuses by them to act sort of like a self message book. awesome plan for motivating students!
other kinds of 'no homework binders' either had blank homework sheets to take and re-do or blank paper with excuses by them to act sort of like a self message book. awesome plan for motivating students!
Good idea: No Homework Binder! Another idea: when each 6 week segment is over, if the child doesn't have any missing homework assignments, they can get a prize or extra recess time!
Good idea: unsure of how practical it will be in high school. No Homework Binder. I like this even better than my Missing Work Forms...
Do for high school! Only way to be allowed to turn it in late for half credit. No Homework Binder--Each student has a blank page in the binder. The student must write the date, assignment, and reason for not having it on their page for each forgotten assignment. Keeps track of # missing and reasons. Great management tool!
