The Road (Cormac McCarthy). Understated and straightforward but written with beautiful language and some heartfelt moments. A dad and young son "carry the fire" to the coast in a post apocalyptic cannibalistic world.


I highly recommend reading this first before Bitterblue. Re-reading it now.

Anything by Sarah Dessen is AMAZING!!

I grew up with these books. This Lullaby & The Truth About Forever are two of my all time favorites. Sarah Dessen certainly has a way with words and perfect capability of writing teen fiction.
