Cute idea to post outside the classroom door whenever we leave. Can have line leader be responsible for this or have it as a second job.(In addition, would be cool if you put this on a cookie sheet and had a magnet over your schedule location. For a spec Ed teacher can change up the locations to the classes you go to or to a room you use for small groups.

Taco 'bout a great class bulletin board idea...maybe change it to "taco 'bout a great book" and have students write book reviews on their taco

Cool Bulletin Board idea to "spotlight" a student or famous person. I would do both. Maybe every week a different actor, playwright, designer, etc to research to extra credit or a weekly report, and every now and then a student, to make them feel special having been up on the same wall as a big name.

This "I'm done..." board is a great way to remind students of their choices once they have completed the current activity. By having this posted as a bulletin board or poster within the room, students would have a visual reminder of the acceptable options they have while awaiting transition to the next activity. This procedure would help maintain order as well as keep faster students busy.

For all my Teacher friends... bulletin boards and doors

Hello! I'm Gena and I've been teaching in the first grade for 8 years. I teach in a public school in Topeka, KS. I've been very passionate about teaching, but also about incorporating the latest technology into my lessons. I've incorporated blogging, podcasting, glogging, skyping, Google Earth, produced music videos, and much more in my classroom. I hope to share ideas and tips on incorporating technology into your classroom.
