I belive John Culik was born in 1926 in Joliet, Illinois. He attended art school in Boston and is predominantly known as a printmaker, who specializes in landscapes and nature scenes of rural Illinois and the town of Joliet.

Thank you! The two scenes that I bought are of farmland.

I have 2 etchings from an estate of a noted San Diego Architect - he knew John Culik in the 1950's in Illinois - I have one modernist piece and one traditional (both etchings) very interesting - I think his modernist phase was short lived.

I just bought an etching at the Goodwill for $5.99!! Called "Suburbia" and it needs a frame, but I love etchings and couldn't pass it up. Luckily I could call my daughter and she could look up the artist!
