Following graduation a father handed his daughter a bag with a copy of "Oh the Places You'll Go," by Dr Seuss in it. At first she just smiled and said that she loved that book. But he told her "No, open it up." ...On the first page she saw a short paragraph written by her kindergarten teacher. He told her "Every year, for the past 13 years, since the day you started kindergarten I've gotten every teacher, coach and principal to write a little something about you inside this book."
Summer time means lots of theme parks, zoos, adventures for the kids and what's one of our biggest fears as parents? That they will get lost and we wont be able to find them! So, here's a simple solution that Cherise came up with for you, use a fine point sharpie or pen and write "If lost, call (your phone number)" then use liquid bandaid on top of it. It will seal it in and it's water proof and should last for about a day.
SO doing this for my kiddos someday... send Oh, the Places Youll Go by Dr. Seuss each year on the last day of school. Dont tell your kids and let them read 13 years of messages on their graduation day!
