    Baklava Recipe ~ A Greek favorite that makes everyone think you are a master chef and is sooo easy to make!! I taught a Greek friend how to make apple pie and she taught me this fabulous recipe. The phyllo dough for this recipe is found in the freezer section of most grocery stores. Add a little lemon zest to the sugar sauce, if desired.

    Baklava Recipe- I use pecans and walnuts, put in food processor for a few seconds to get the right size. I also use local honey, so yummy! Make the sauce first and let cool while assembling and baking. Save 6 sheets for the top part. Layer 2 sheets, butter, layer 2 sheets, butter, layer 1 sheet, butter, layer 1 sheet. Then cut into 24 pieces 4x6 rows. Then brush the whole top with butter, this prevents the top layers from curling up. Pour sauce in immediately after taking tray out of the oven!
