I use these Whole Brain Teaching attention getters on a daily basis with my ELL students. These attention getters are a great way to improve your classroom management. I usually pick one or two to teach the class at the beginning of the year.
Put on poster have kids sign it like a contract, display in class! instead of having rules hung up on the wall, make it fun and hang this up. this way it doesn't seem like "rules".idea for work next year :)
WHOLE CLASS ATTENTION GETTERS: I plan to use this when the classroom might get to rowdy or whenever I need to get my students attention. I have seen teachers use this method and it always has seemed to work, hopefully it will be the same for me!
Task Develop guidelines for success - I think the group work expectations chart would be helpful at the beginning of the year because it gets student to see what the teacher is expecting of them through out the school year.
