    Kathryn M Ireland, the area where you lived is a very beautiful one indeed. My father lived in Villa Commenda (rented a part of the villa), when I was growing up, for the rest of my years I lived in the city. The entire countryside along the Rotonda, and Riviera Berica is magnificent. It's no surprise that Thomas Jefferson loved the area, and loved Andrea Palladio, so much so as to make a replica of the Villa Rotonda when he decided to construct Monticello.
