Household Closet: Extra Storage Space Make the most of otherwise unused space -- such as beneath a staircase -- by building a closet. If the bonus space is near the kitchen, add shelves and countertop to create a butler's pantry. Off the basement media room, create a mini library for DVDs, CDs, and portable electronics.
I'm not generally a big fan of open wirework shelves, as I prefer wood, but I really like the idea of being able to S-hook the pots to the bottom of a shelf, and if I was a big wine drinker, that wine area would probably call to me. I do like the big poofy plant on the top, though - :)
Rethink bathroom storage. Create more functional storage inside a linen closet or in a vanity cabinet by grouping like items in easy-to-access baskets. Make a rule to only keep one or two extras of any category (depending on how often the item is used), and be strict about your new policy
Love the neutral foundation of the couch with the colorful throw pillows played on the backdrop of outdoors what a great screened in porch!
Pretty pull-out baskets add a little something extra to this space. I like these baskets. They keep that country look I like so much. I would love something like this for my laundry room to put folded clothes in for each person in the house. They grab the basket take it to their room take the clothes out and then return the basket. It would make my job easier and keep the laundry room neater.

From Apartment Therapy, here's a space-saving kitchen storage idea: Stash saran wrap, foil, wax paper and such in a file holder mounted to the inside of a cabinet door.
"Closet Shelves: The work space gained an extra dimension when the closet's bifold doors were removed to create an office nook. Outfitted with a desk, file cabinet, and shelves, the space has been maximized to its full storage potential. Colorful containers provide decoration on the shelves and also help reduce clutter from building up on the desk."
