(BrandonRugs.com) 90-line Chinese rug reproducing French Savonnerie style was a big deal in the 1980's thru the mid-'90's. It fell out of favor as a "common" look when pervasive "going out of business" "SALE" operations used it as a loss leader for promotions. It looks very up-to-date here, though, thanks to the elegantly simple window treatments, and the great use of the leopard print fabric on the chair and footstool.

LOVE the distressed white wood ceiling! Rosemary Beach House.

there is just something about this space...maybe my cottage in the woods for a getaway...when I'm rich & famous...

My dream house would have a loggia something like this to face the garden.

I love the toile but I REALLY love that the curtains are hung on short rods above the windows. If you never intend to close the curtains, why would you need rods that span the width of the window? I never thought of that. GREAT IDEA!

The arched top draperies are so pretty! (Can't say the same about the lucite chair & the Zebra rug- getting so tired of that trend.)

I was thinking of doing something similar to make my curtains longer for the new house. Maybe adding another layer for a color blocked look?

arched high windows, dramatic curtains + antique chandelier.
