Shel Silverstein tattoo. I would never get this many words tattooed on my body, but I love the poem.

"there are no happy endings. endings are the saddest part, so just give me a happy middle and a very happy start." -Shel Silverstein Maybe not as a tattoo, but I love the quote

Pinner said: This is my third tattoo, and I’m already in love with it. My parents used to read me Shel Silverstein poems when I was little and I still read his books today. This particular poem, which is from the newest compilation With Everything On Top, really makes me think of my dad. He passed away last fall and most of the inspiration for my tattoos comes from him. This was done by Matt Bushart at Enchanted Dragon Tattoo Parlor in Sierra Vista, AZ.

The artwork from the poem “The Edge of the World” by Shel Silverstein from the book Where the Sidewalk Ends. My favorite book growing up and reminds me daily to never take things too seriously.

She had blue skin And so did he. He kept it hid And so did she. They searched for blue Their whole life through, Then passed right by - And never knew.

I pinned this because I was reading it thinking "Oh my gosh, I love this. I totally live this poem." And then it ended and I laughed out loud cause I still agree with it completely in an entirely different way

“If you are a dreamer, come in, If you are a dreamer, a wisher, a liar, A hope-er, a pray-er, a magic bean buyer… If you’re a pretender, come sit by my fire For we have some flax-golden tales to spin. Come in! Come in!” - Invitation by Shel Silverstein

We should never hide behind our masks. We are all unique because God made us this way..NEVER BE ASHAMERD OF WHO YOU ARE OR WHAT CIRCUMSTANCES YOU WERE BORN INTO...FIND YOUR PLACE IN THE WORLD!

Shel Silverstein - The Voice - one of my all time favorites.

There is a voice inside of you That whispers all day long, "I feel this is right for me, I know that this is wrong." No teacher, preacher, parent, friend Or wise man can decide What's right for you -- just listen to The voice that speaks inside. -Shel Silverstein

Shel Silverstein. This defines my life right now. Still so much love for all my friends support :)

“And she loved a little boy very, very much, even more than she loved herself” A quote from “The Giving Tree” By, Shel Silvertein.
