Katy spotted this wood slice walkway earlier this spring at the Portland (Maine) Flower Show. I'm not sure if it would actually work in Maine--or where I live--where the frost line can be anywhere from 3 to 5 feet, but, man, do I love the look of it! You can read a bit more about it at Katy's websit...

Create a Neat Border Edge with Recycled Rubber Mulch Long-lasting, scatter-proof mulch edging always looks crisp and neat Use around flowerbeds and walkways Suppresses weeds better than bark mulch and lasts for years

Even If You Could Lay Bark Mulch In Perfect Circles Or Borders, It Would Soon Look Ragged Or Need Replenshing. These Mulch Mats Always Look Crisp, Because They Can't Be Scattered. Use Around Raised Beds, Walkways Or Foundation Plantngs Mow Right Over It!

    Pallet wood walkway

No that is not hardwood, it is stamped concrete! found this idea on a local contractor’s website. We contacted him immediately to get an estimate. I have a love for wood that is dark and rustic, so to be able to have the warmth of a deck combined with the ease of concrete? Heavenly! I’ve never seen anything like this before. Nx
