LOVE THIS IDEA: I picked a stick and they never knew who that person was until the end of the day.  If that person behaved in line, listened and followed directions in class with few warnings, they got a surprise out of the treasure box and their name went up on the wall of fame..if the mystery person did not behave their name went back into the box or whatever I had and it was never revealed.  FREAKING GENIUS!

We have a giant 100 chart and as the whole class does something really well one student pulls out a popsicle stick and colors the number found on the stick. Once ten numbers in a row are colored in, a party is earned, and Room 114 earned a party

When you catch a student being good, they put their name in a box... at the end of the day roll dice and whoever has their name in that box gets a prize.

Behavior Management idea- When a kid is doing what he/she is supposed to be doing and I catch him/he that student then gets to sign his/her name in a box. At the end of the day, I roll a dice for the letter and the number. The student gets a reward.

Fantastic tips to help students g directions so you don't have to repeat yourself a million times. The magic word idea is a great technique to try.

NOISE…removing one letter at a time when our voice level gets too loud. When NO is left, there is NO more talking! Love this! A lot clearer than just putting up strikes on the board or letting the noise escalate to a point where you just cut off talking. It also gives the kids a chance to regain control of their noise before it gets to that point.
