Prayer is just talking with the Father. It is not necessary to read words written by someone. If you are a parent, and your child came to you for comfort, and he started to read words from a piece of paper, and recite them to you. What would you think? Simply talk to your Father. He is always there.
Grandpa doesn't feel comfortable leaving the place he's grown up in and has to be almost unconscious to go. One of the reasons for Grandma and Grandpa's deaths could have been from the new environment and not being able to adapt to it (Steinbeck 111, 146).
” And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28, NIV). God has a plan to take every adversity and every hardship you go through and use it. He’s not going to beat you down and make your life miserable. No, God’s dream is to take that difficulty and supernaturally turn it around and use it to bring you good.
No matter what’s happening in your life today, take time to ask the Lord to shine His light on you. Ask Him to confirm His plan for you. As you continue pursuing His truth and righteousness, as you continue to make His Word a priority in your life, you will experience more of His blessings. You’ll see those brighter days as you move forward in the good plan He has in store for you!
