Water Marble Nail Art: You put water in a bowl and drop random colors of nailpolish in it. then you stir it with a toothpick and put petroleum jelly on your fingers, so that the nail polish only gets on your nails. then you stick your fingers in the bowl.

you take a glass of room temp filtered water and just drop the color in one by one (example, a drop of yellow, then a drop of pink, then a drop of blue, and so on) as you drop the color in, it should spread across the water to form a film. with each different drop of color, it will form a ring as each color spreads across the water. it should end up looking somewhat like a bullseye. you then take a needle or toothpick and carefully and lightly drag it across the bullseye to make a pattern. dip your nail in, pick up the excess polish with a toothpick, and take the nail back out. the pattern should be transferred to the nail. it is best to do this with your nails painted white and the cuticles taped. for a better explanation, go to youtube and search "water marbling"

This is so cute! You can actually do this really easily with painter's tape. Paint your nails gold, let them dry, then put painter's tape where you want the gold to show through, then paint your nails sorbet, and take the tape off! So simple and so pretty!
