Get Creative with Paint. Kitchens typically don't have a lot of wall space, thanks to cabinetry, backsplashes, windows, and doorways. Use limited wall space as a chance to display a color you might not otherwise choose for a large wall or whole room. Here, a sable brown grounds the light kitchen. Also, don't forget the ceiling -- as a place to add color with paint!

Classic good looks and a casual vibe are central to this kitchen! Find more looks here: www.bhg.com/...

Dark color schemes shrink an already small space and make it less inviting. Use soft shades on kitchen cabinets and natural light to visually expand a small room. BUT... if you want a warm cozy kitchen and yours is small, then go for the warm wood tones - sometimes getting what you love means breaking the rules!

White kitchen, dark floors, mirror backsplash, stainless and white stove

Exploit your Kitchen Walls. prevent crowding on less than roomy kitchen counters by looking to the walls for storage

Kitchen Floor Stencil - might need to try this and I love this kitchen, from the lighting to the sink faucet to the colors, the market sign, the counter top, sink tub. LOVE this kitchen.

Nice a large chalkboard in the kitchen. But not directly on the wall, by using a large wooden square.

Cottage Kitchen-Although this kitchen's floor plan is on the small side, it appears spacious and inviting thanks to a few design tricks. Blocks of darker colors (on the floor and island) ground the area, while crisp white and creamy bisque on the appliances, trims, ceiling, and walls keep the room light.

Pullout shelves and an appliance "garage" make this kitchen organized and super accessible. These are musts for my dream kitchen!

OK so this is a lot like what our kitchen would be like- white counter tops, white cabs, white backsplash, wood floors, stainless pulls on the cabinets and gray walls. (differnece- we have black appliances, not SS) and i love this.
