Vaniljkakor (Swedish Vanilla Cookies) from Food.com: This is one of my favorite cookies. It's from my Swedish Grandma. They are very simple, but I think that's what I like about them. Very tender and rich.
Karamellkaker (Norwegian Caramel Cookies) ~ I have been searching for these for years. My grandmother used to make these. When she had a stroke, that was the end of it and although I asked and asked, nobody seemed to know what I was talking about. Thank you, Google. My wife and kids are gonna love these!
Norwegian Almond Cake. In Norway, in smaller towns -- coffee time is as big as Teatime in England. And there was always a cake "curing" in the pantry ! Mormor let cake 'sit' for 4 days, drying it out a bit ON purpose...to my sorrow. ;-)
Norwegian Cookies from Food.com: Millie my neighbor used to make these for us all the time. I loved the rich buttery taste and the cherry and almond flavor. Cooking time does not include chilling time.
