“The best antidote I know for worry is work. The best cure for weariness is the challenge of helping someone who is even more tired. One of the great ironies of life is this: He or she who serves almost always benefits more than he or she who is served.” President Gordon B. Hinckley
"as i held her hand and saw mortal life drain from her fingers, i confess i was overcome. before i married her, she had been the girl of my dreams, to use the words of a song then popular. she was my dear companion for more than two-thirds of a century, my equal before the lord - really, my superior. and now in my old age, she has again become the girl of my dreams." I come to you tonight with a plea that we stop seeking out the storms and enjoy more fully the sunlight. I am suggesting that as we go through life we try to "accentuate the positive." I am asking that we look a little deeper for the good, that we still our voices of insult and sarcasm, that we more generously compliment virtue and effort. -Gordon B. Hinckley
So...basically, you just believe whatever the hell you want, no matter how vengeful, murderous, and condemning god is in the bible, and then tell everyone else they have to live their lives according to what your version of god wants. Makes total sense.
