Chateau de Chambord, Loire Valley, France.
The Château de Chambord at Chambord, Loir-et-Cher, France, was contructed from 1519 to 1547 which was overseen by Pierre Nepveu. Although this chateaux has some of the attributes of a castle such as a such as a keep, towers, surronded by a moat, it was more of a decorative design rather then defensive. It is recognized for its blend of medieval french style with classical Renaissance. The castle from the Disney movie, Beauty and the Beast, was inspired by the Château de Chambord.
Early in his reign, he began construction of the magnificent Château de Chambord, inspired by the architectural styles of the Italian renaissance, and perhaps even designed by Leonardo da Vinci.
