bohemea: Marilyn Monroe & Clark Gable by Eve Arnold When I came back from a day off the set, he patted my ass and told me if I didn’t behave myself, he would give me a good spanking. I looked him in the eye and said: ”Don’t tempt me,” He burst out laughing so hard he was tearing. Because of his performance I’ve seen “Gone With the Wind” over and over again. He was perfect. ~ Marilyn Monroe on Clark Gable Marilyn Monroe, from beyond the grave, Marilyn Transcripts naughty Marilyn!

Clark Gable, 1930s. Loved the character in Gond With The Wind and It Happened One night. I'm not normally into idol worship, but, well, it IS Clarke Gable!

Marilyn Monroe and Clark Gable. I believe this pic is from The Misfits, a great movie, which was the last movie that either of them finished before they died.

The Misfits, Clark Gable and Marilyn Monroe, 1961, was last movie Clark Gable made before he passed away.

1930s - Clark Gable - Gable was the top box office draw of the 1930's. He was charming, charismatic, handsome. His style was sophisticated and gentlemanly. Adored by women and copied by men in the 1930's. The box office king was considered the reason for drops in under shirt sales when he appeared in the film "It Happened One Night" not wearing one.

On the set with Joan Crawford & Clark Gable.
