Skinny Green Monster Smoothie. I have been drinking these almost every mornign since January. I use regular peanut butter, 1/2 cup of vanilla almond milk, spinach (2-3 cups), 1 cup frozen strawberries, 1 tbsp hemp hearts and banana (mango when I can find nice ones!) Five servings of fruits and veg first thing in the morning!!
Green Power Smoothie 1 cup kale, ribs and thick stems removed 1 banana, frozen 1 cup coconut milk [+ 1 cup water depending on your desired consistency] 1 tablespoon almond butter [0r peanut butter] 1/2 tablespoon cocoa powder [or a few chocolate chips] 1-2 teaspoons *Spirulina Powder Stevia, honey or agave for sweetener Ice
This recipe makes approximately 32 ounces * 2 large cucumbers (peeled if not organic) * big fistful of kale * big fistful of sweet pea sprouts * 4–5 stalks celery * 1–2 big broccoli stems * 1 pear or green apple (optional) * 1 inch of ginger (or less) Other optional greens we love: romaine, parsley, spinach and dandelion.
