      Beautiful. Le Gros Horloge, or “The Great Clock”, in Rouen, France was built in the 14th century, and sits atop an ancient stone arch amongst surviving half-timbered houses from the 15th, 16th, and 17th centuries. Visitor’s can climb inside the clock to see its mechanisms, and get a great view of the street below. What a scene!

    French style steep hill street, medieval. was once all cobbled? I love that extruded tower, with its upside down cone. large smooth stone blocks surround the windows and make the arches,, but the rest of the walls are smaller, irregular pale stones. And that tower is particularly crafted.

    Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Rouen. It is next to the square where Joan of Arc was burned at the stake. I've been here and it is beautiful.
