Equals $1.34 a gallon for body wash (for men's body wash...and women's if you use cheaper soap) But I'm going to do what she did and use a philosophy bar...love that stuff and love that this will make it go so much farther for so much cheaper!! Bar Soap to Liquid: I didn't follow the proportions exactly, so mine turned out too thick and had to be thinned. One bar really does make a gallon.
Homemade body wash. 1 bar of Castile soap.(can use other brands) Grate soap. Add to 12 cups water and simmer on stove until dissolved. Add 2 tbs glycerine. Take off heat and let sit for about 10 hours until thickens and cools. Can add 3 tsp of essential oils at this point if desired for fragrance. Makes about 3 qts. If adding essential oils, use aromatherapy, candle or food grade oils.
