Over the years I have had folks inquiring about what tools/mediums I use in my visual journals. Thought I would share a bit, basically I start drawing with a Faber-Castell PITT artist pen (usually no pencil, just jumping in feet first with the ink), then I apply color with my Winsor & Newton watercolor traveling kit, and finally I punch up colors and add details with Prisma Color Pencils.

I picked these sketches because enjoying another country's indigenous food is a good chance to travel by taste. The sketches describe the tourist's being able to give the country a chance by tasting its food. It also gives the feeling of the stages you encounter in travelling.

It's too easy to tell why this art inspires me. Look at this detail! Usually I am a fiend for bold color but any color to this piece , i think, would take away from it. ♥K8♥~
