Over the years I have had folks inquiring about what tools/mediums I use in my visual journals. Thought I would share a bit, basically I start drawing with a Faber-Castell PITT artist pen (usually no pencil, just jumping in feet first with the ink), then I apply color with my Winsor & Newton watercolor traveling kit, and finally I punch up colors and add details with Prisma Color Pencils.

I picked these sketches because enjoying another country's indigenous food is a good chance to travel by taste. The sketches describe the tourist's being able to give the country a chance by tasting its food. It also gives the feeling of the stages you encounter in travelling.

wow! I have heard of doing food journals but this is a pretty detailed one - LOL!

andrea joseph Some journals have lots of color. I think I mix of media would be cool. I'm thinking of doing one, myself.

Andrea Joseph - so many interesting things to look at.

Andrea Joseph sketchbook.... I need to just sketch random things like this, just because, not for any particular end project.
