Somebody thought it a good idea to add a little color pencil fence to their ordinary fence, and the result is a surprising bit of street art.
"We had this image sent to us this morning from a colleague, and we thought it was a good idea to brighten up your property or the neighborhood. Somebody thought it a good idea to add a little color pencil fence to their ordinary fence, and the result is a surprising bit of street art."

Cagacemento by NemO's in Milan, Italy, 2010. Street art of a human eating trees and excreting houses. Artist: "Because I come from a small city surrounded by countryside this big city seemed like a desert of cement to me, the skyline was barely visible! Every huge metropolis seems like a stain of oil that looks still but is slowly expanding and gulping everything down! I felt the necessity to show and tell the story of the expanding city that feeds on nature and expels cement waste!"

The life-size figures of people are "descending into the pavement" on one side of the road, and "emerging out of the pavement" on the other side. Both parts of this sculpture together are called "Przejscie" (English: passageway, crossing, transition). Polish artist Jerzy Kalina has created it for the 24th anniversary of the introduction of martial law in Poland on 13th December 1981.
Wouldn't it be cool to have street sculptures like this in the Millyard, representing the industry there??
Statues Sink and Rise Out of Poland's Sidewalk Polish artist Jerzy Kalina installed a total of 14 life-like statues—seven people descending into the ground on one end of the junction and seven people emerging from the ground on the adjacent corner. The public art installation called Przejście, translated as Passage or Transition was installed at the cross streets in December 2005 to mark the 24th anniversary of when martial law was introduced in Poland (December 13, 1981).

STREET ART UTOPIA "We declare the world as our canvas" --- Text Them Home --- Street Art Project for the homeless
There are 3.5 million homeless people in America and 18.5 vacant homes. No one should have to literally draw up their own living room. What happened to empathy and compassion? Sure, homeless people can beg for money even if they are not truly poor. Some, just mind their own business, and do things to see if they get people to notice how messed up our society and economy is for not attempting to fix this problem.
Nice idea. "Text Them Home" a street art project for the homeless by the Weingart Center in LA.

Nuestra Nena de Wynwood Detail of a mural in the Wynwood section of Miami by El Mac with help from his friends. While the work itself is incredible the wall it is painted on is irregular. Hard, direct light accentuates the flaws. The trick is getting the right light and of course a clear shot. If you want to check out more of this artist's work go to www.elmac.net/ .
