After being diagnosed with a brain tumor, Massachusetts Senator Edward Moore Kennedy, or Ted, the last living brother of the Kennedys, has recently died at the age of 77. Description from myworldofdailypointers.blogspot.com. I searched for this on bing.com/images
Edward "Ted" Kennedy (1932-2009) was the senior United States Senator from Massachusetts. He was the fourth longest serving senator, serving for almost 47 years. Kennedy played a major roll in passing many laws...he was a Democrat.
Edward Moore "Ted" Kennedy (February 22, 1932 - August 25, 2009) United States Senator from Massachusetts and a member of the Democratic Party. He was the second most senior member of the Senate when he died and was the fourth-longest-serving senator in United States history, served for almost 47 years. As the most prominent living member of the Kennedy family for many years, he was also the last surviving son of Rose and Joseph P. Kennedy, Sr.
Mary Jo Kopechne was a passenger in Ted Kennedy’s car suddenly went off a bridge and overturned in water on Chappaquiddick Island, just off the coast of Martha’s Vineyard. Kennedy managed to escape the vehicle, but Kopechne, a teacher and political campaign specialist, was not so lucky. Kennedy failed to report the accident to authorities until after the car and Kopechne’s body had surfaced the next day, though he did contact Kopechne’s parents to inform them their daughter had died.
Yesterday, I watched the funeral service of Edward “ Ted ” Kennedy on Fox News, and the sad part for me is about the youngest son of the great Kennedy brothers has gone and it’s a big lost, knowing that the Kennedy family had a huge impact in US history. I’m questioning about would it be more Kennedy descent that will adorn US political history? I hope so. Edward Kennedy became known as “The Lion of Senate” through his long tenure and influence. He played a major role in passing many laws. He was a strong supporter of The Civil Right Acts. He helped create the legislation that the Americans with disabilities act is passed into law. It bans discrimination based on physical or mental disabilities. He sponsored The Family and Medical Leave Act. He co-sponsored The No Child Left Behind Act, the legislation is set up to improve student performance by holding schools responsible for test scores. If test scores fail to meet certain standards or show improvement, the school may be closed or its staff replaced. He also championed Workers’ Rights by increasing federal minimum wages for the first time in 2007 from $5.15 an hour to $7.25. In the year of 2008 He formally endorsed Barack Obama for president, " It is time again for a new generation of leadership, It is time now for Barack Obama." Edward Kennedy's funeral has become one biggest political event in United States that unite every group. The Massachusetts senator died on August 25,2009 after a lengthy battle with brain cancer. A Rome Catholic mass was held by at least 7 priest, 11 pall-bearer and 27 honor pall-bearer. About 1500 people made a visit of condolence. There was Obama and other United States political figures such George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, until Senator John Mc Cain made a visit. Bobby Kennedy at Jack's grave. He too, would become assassinated less than five years later, and would rest about 100 yards from his older brother. One of the many coincidences that makes it hard not to believe there existed some conspiracy surrounding the Kennedy Brothers. Although it does not prove much, it does make me wonder, what if all we know about the assassinations have just existed as lies?

President Barack Obama & the Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr. [digitized photo via Trendy Traveler] Another popular idea is that King's "dream" has actually been realized. In wake of Obama's two terms as the first African-American president of the United States of America, several individuals claimed that his dream had finally come to fruition, but that's not entirely the case. The American still holds such low standards in regards to the protection and concern about the lives of African-Americans. Obama being in office does not suddenly realize the dream, not when brutality and murder still exist outside of the White House.
