An antique toolbox repurposed for a modern necessity: Charging devices. Drill a hole in the side of a toolbox large enough to feed an electrical plug through. Place a plug strip inside the box; feed the plug through the hole. Cut a board to fit inside the box and drill holes on the board (large enough so that one end of your charging cords can feed through them).
Just drill a hole in the back, insert a rubber grommet, and thread the power-strip cord through. Cut small slits in 1/4-inch medium-density fiberboard (MDF) to create a divider that conceals the power strip and chargers behind it.
I converted a breadbox to a cell phone charging station. All the cellphones are now hidden in this pretty box. I added a shelf to the box to create more room and added the ipad. LOVE this little guy!
