I gotta try this next time I'm not sitting on my butt at home or working!

Knot your average pony. **I tried this in my own hair... even though I have lots of long, thick hair, this style made me look like I had none! Seriously... I lost seven inches off the length of my pony tail :( Check out my "French Knotted Pony" for a variation I made... leaves more length and fullness in your pony tail, and makes for a super cool look!

Pinned this picture earlier but this has the instructions

To get a fuller looking pony, gather hair at crown and wrap with hair tie, then do a second pony over it...The perfect Phony

The Beauty Department: Your Daily Dose of Pretty. - 1950′s INSPIRED PONYTAIL

1950′s INSPIRED PONYTAIL - photos + post: Kristin Ess Golly gee, we love very vintage-inspired ponytail. This is what I like to call the “Barbie Pony” when talking to a client. It’s got a part, a little volume + some soft bouncy curls. This particular version is a very wearable one. If you want to get a little more dramatic, you’re welcome to put as much volume and curl as you want!

MUST TRY! Things Needed: Curling Iron, Elastic Band, Bobby Pins, Comb & Hair Spray. 1) Curl hair and create a low pony tail with the bottom middle portion of the hair & divide the rest into 3 sections 2) Tease the top portion & twist it down to the ponytail & pin it 3) Tease side portion & twist it to the ponytail & pin it 4) Repeat on other side 5) Add some hair spray & you are ready to go!

This is how I usual do my ponytails because my hair is too heavy, but seeing a tutorial for it makes me feel fancy :)
