A simple ribbon organizer helps keep track of what should be planted when. More shed storage ideas: http://www.bhg.com/gardening/yard/tools/garden-shed-stoage-secrets/#page=1 (cute idea, maybe a way to adapt without attaching actual seed packets, printables? prefer to keep seeds safely stored, but this is very cute)

Plants have best friends! Marigolds help tomatoes and roses grow better. Nasturtiums keep bugs away from squash and broccoli. Petunias protect beans from beetles and oregano chases them away from cucumbers. Geraniums keep Japanese beetles away from roses and corn. Chives make carrots sweeter, and basil makes tomatoes even tastier( Will be glad I pinned this)

Sweeten your tomatoes by sprinkling baking soda on the soil around your tomato plants.

Each time you crack an egg open, instead of tossing the shell into the trash, drop it into an open container that you keep in the fridge. (I’ve always saved my shells, but my friend Susan suggested keeping them in the fridge – works beautifully.) When the container is full, crush the shells into small bits and sprinkle them around the base of your plants. The sharp eggshells will deter slugs, snails, and other bugs from nibbling on your garden and add a touch of calcium to the soil. #gardening,
