Cala Dogana Levanzo is the smallest of the Egadi Islands in the Mediterranean Sea west of Sicily, Italy.The ancient name of the island was "Phorbantia" which is a sort of plants growing there.Levanzo is famous for the "Grotta del Genovese" with Neolithic cave paintings and Palaeolithic graffitoes.The only built up area, in which most of the population is concentrated, is located on the southern coast of the island in a bay called the "Cala Dogana" with its white houses to reject the light of the sun.
