For me, Thinking with Type is an excellent example of make a successful and interesting site without a bunch of bells and whistles. Because the site is centered around type, it only makes sense that it would make such great use of type in it's design. Not to mention, it's an awesome resource for learning everything you never thought you would want to know about type.

I hadn't been on Pandora in quite some time before Christmas break this year, but when I did get on, I realized they'd changed the site up quite a bit. I definitely love the changes they've made. The whole site is more interactive to the user now and way more appealing to look at.

Ray Ban. I recently did a little bit of sunglasses shopping, and I realized they've created a pretty neat site. I really like simple layouts with blacks/dark grays and transparent overlays. This site combines that with a some awesome print on the side. Love it.

Design Seeds! Oh my goodness. I'm not sure what I love more: the content or the whole thing in general. She shows her creativity and excellence in colors and design with the layout of her site. I love the theme she's created. It's almost like a scrapbook of ideas instead of a site.

Apple has always done a great job of keeping their site sleek and simple, yet full of all the information you need. It may have a white background, but it's not boring to look at.
