REMOVE RUST.....1c Borax+2c warm water+1Tbsp lemon juice works wonders on rust. Old pots/pans that are rusted, add this solution(paste like) & let sit 15mins. Rinse+just scrub the rust away. Use to remove rust from appliances & virtually anything metal. Old patio furniture:remove rust+paint. If rust is a bit stubborn, leave 2nd coating on another 15-20mins-should lift right off w/scrubbing sponge.
De-tarnish ALL your silver at once... line your sink with aluminum foil, add 1/2 c table salt, 1/2 c. baking soda, fill with hot water, then dump in all your silver. Let sit for about 30 min. The tarnish all transfers to the foil! Wonder if this really works?
Pinner said: My neighbor's house always had the clearest windows EVER! One day I helped her with some spring-cleaning. She didn't use a single paper towel or commercial cleaner but mixed 2 cups hot water with ¼ cup vinegar & 1 TBS of cornstarch, shook in spray bottle & spritzed the windows, then wiped down w/ crumpled newspaper. Unlike paper or cloth towels, newspaper is absorbent without leaving lint behind. This homemade window wash solution w/ newspaper works like NOTHING else!
