How To Clean Your Flat Iron. About 1/4 cup of baking soda in a small glass bowl and squirt in hydrogen peroxide until it makes a nice paste. Then rub it on the offending dirt/stain/grease…whatever! I usually just use my fingers…but I also use a small sponge at times as well. Home made way to clean your Flat Iron! - "Turns out this was hardly even a challenge for the "miracle cleaner". :-) I made my usual paste of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide and started rubbing it in with my fingers. Start curling: Place the flat iron about 3/4 of the way up the strand. Close the flat iron and twist it away from your face one time, then pull it slowly down the rest of the hair strand while it's still clamped shut. It really does work and it's fast!
