This is a beautiful look! Pigment-Dyed Pots Garden containers need not be only terra-cotta. Our ideas for creative flowerpots and containers will enhance the beauty of their contents. For cheerful containers, stain pots in colors that complement their contents. Terra-cotta is very porous, so it's important to use materials that won't harm the plants, like the all-natural powdered pigments shown at left.

Painted Pots Whether you live on the West Coast, East Coast, or miles away from the ocean, bring all the colors of the water right to your backyard. Potted plants look even nicer in containers with hues of sea blue.

Cosmos - Annual sun lovers. Will reseed under right conditions.

Forget Me Nots (Alaska State Flower) FYI: These seeds turn black and stick to everything. Thus they reseed themselves. I recommend that you pull them out of the ground and toss. I actually give plants away on craigslist every spring. Some people bring me plants in exchange.

Border Plants: Agapanthus, Ageratum, Aristea ecklonii, Nemesia strumosa, Nolana, Petunia, Platycodon grandiflorus, Plumbago, Ruellia
