Beautiful Crepe Myrtles! Nothing says summer in the South like the Crepe Mrytle in full bloom. My great grandmother used to say you weren't worth a fiddle if you didn't have a crepe myrtle growing in your yard. We live in her old house and we have 8 in full bloom right now, 2 of which belonged to her. She died in 1973, so you see, the Crepe Myrtle lives a long time! Growing Asparagus is quite easy. I have grown asparagus from seeds and that too in a pot! It is quite a hardy plant and tolerates cold winters and dry spells as well. Just don't overwater it. This year I am planting the crowns from my potted plant in a raised bed along tomatoes and coriander as both the plants discourage each others pests.
