This contemporary hexagon quilt made by Cheryl See of Ashburn, Virginia, Star Struck has 12,256 hexagon units forming a rainbow-colored star which repeats in the background. Cheryl notes that the outer star is bordered by appliqued circles with complimentary-colored backgrounds that transition through the colors of the rainbow. Appliqued flowers and Grandmother's flowers were placed throughout the quilt, forming secondary patterns and random surprises.

very interesting - bubble-sided mountains? megablueberry trees? futuristic buildings with landing ports on every floor?

Blocky color quilt inspiration - This would be so cool to try with different sized granny squares!

Gorgeous quilt! I have Absolutely no idea what this says, but hopefully there's a credit in here somewhere... logcabin vs scrappers. 2º Premio en el concurso internacional "Quand les matières se rencontrent" del Carrefour europeen du patchwork. En el concurso se tenian que utilizar materias diferentes a la tela, yo (Cecília González desedamas) use sedas, madera y pan de plata

I really like the subtle juxtaposition within each of these stripes...the white is personally too distracting, but this is some fantastic inspiration.

Love this block. It is from the book "Mariner's Compass Stars" by Carol Doak. Fun & bright for a girl

I know this is a quilt and NOT crochet but it is crochet inspiration. I think a granny square afghan made like this would be really cool and actually pretty easy to do.
