    Inspiration/Strenth Stones: students write a word such as peacefulness, calm, breathe, it's okay... whatever they need to remind themselves of and can then carry it in their pocket/backpack to remind themselves

    I feel a Piet Mondrian phase coming on. (This is inspiration not a link to how to). We made these by placing the colored paper on contact paper. Then when the design was complete we flipped the contact paper over and backed it with black cardstock. These were very successful.

    Candy Corn. I'll try it with my K class for graphing. Ask which color is the most, middle, fewest after sorting the colors.

    I do not believe that giving students a list of words and telling them to memorize it for a test is super effective. I think this spelling activity would encourage students to make relationship to the words, while reinforcing some vocabulary as well.
