Your students will start off with a 4 corners activity as they explore the essential question - Who is the best president of the Modern Era? Then they will have the opportunity to "visit" each president's library as they learn about the key events that have occurred from 1990-2011. Students will analyze images, read primary sources and take notes on domestic and foreign policies of each president.
In this creative writing assignment, students choose a character from a novel and write a "letter home". They consider what version of events the character might include in a letter to a loved one, deciding what to play up and what to omit.
