    Would love to try this but I'm worried the contact paper will leave a sticky residue when it's peeled off.

    The sticky residue would easily be cleaned off with goo-gone, mineral spirits or peroxide.

    Thanks Carrie. Unfortunately our landlord is not receptive to anything on the cabinets so now searching for other ideas less permanent n easier to clean off if when we move.
