A quick 40 minute or less trip, Pokagon features a toboggan run, horse trails, camping, swimming, and day use areas and walking trails. Located in the Northern Indiana Lakes District, Pokagon is bordered by Snow Lake and beautiful Lake James. Uplands, marsh, forests and prairies abound here. Worth the day trip! Turkey Run State Park, Indiana, USA. Born and raised in Indiana. Never hiked through park until Christmas vacation visiting family 2012. Absolutely stunning bathed in snow. Kids had a great time playing in the snow. Need to get back in summer time!
