Spelling word practice. If we used a board like this, it would save us from having to photocopy those packets every week. We'd be able to do just a front & back page for vocab list and spelling list instead.(And plus, these activities are way more fun than the current ones we assign.)

I did this in my special ed classroom this year - made a page of mini lines and copied front and back for management and kept page for each student to prevent always doing the same thing. After a couple of weeks I redid and designed my own that fit my students best.

Great activity to practice sight words and/or spelling words! Maybe for older kids have them make up their own cipher codes...

Already doing this with my students--they love it. Spelling might as well be fun, right?

This activity can be used in a center or as individual work at a students desk. It works with Gardners' theory of multiple intelligences well. A student is rolling a die-kinesthetic, working independly or in a center group-intrapersonal/interpersonal, and manipulating a word six times.
