100 YEAR OLD PECAN PIE RECIPE - My friend's family recipe. She told me it was good. She told me that it wasn’t too sweet and wasn’t too runny and set-up perfectly after you let it cool. But she left off the melt-in-your mouth part.
Pecan Pie 3 eggs 1 cup of white sugar 1/2 cup dark Karo syrup 1 stick of butter or margarine (softened) 1 cup pecan halves 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon vanilla Beat eggs until light and fluffy. Add sugar and beat again. Add syrup, butter, pecans, salt and vanilla. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes; then reduce temperature to 325 for 30 minutes.
