East by Edith Pattou. Another version of the Norse Fairy-tale "East of the Sun, West of the Moon." I've read the "Sun and Moon, Ice and Snow" by Jessica Day George. I loved that version, and am almost finished with this one. I love these stories and would recommend them to everyone.
