Roasted Cabbage slices. Ingredients 1 tablespoon plus 2 more tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil 1 medium head green cabbage, cut into 1-inch-thick rounds Coarse salt and ground pepper 1 teaspoon caraway or fennel seeds Directions Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Brush a rimmed baking sheet with 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil. Place 1 medium head green cabbage, cut into 1-inch-thick rounds, in a single layer on sheet and brush with 2 tablespoons oil. Season with coarse salt and ground pepper and sprinkle with 1 teaspoon caraway or fennel seeds. Roast until cabbage is tender and edges are golden, 40 to 45 minutes
Grilled Cabbage 1 medium head cabbage 1/3 cup butter, softened 1/4 cup chopped onion 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt 1/4 teaspoon pepper Cut cabbage into eight wedges; place on a double thickness of heavy-duty foil. Spread cut sides with butter. Sprinkle with onion, garlic salt and pepper. Fold foil around cabbage and seal tightly. Grill, covered, over medium heat for 20 minutes or until tender.
Sliced potatoes tossed in (3Tbsp) olive oil, Italian seasoning (1tbsp) and salt (1tsp) in a ziplock bag to coat. Place in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with foil. Bake at 450 for 15 -20 minutes, until lightly brown. Top with Parmesan cheese and bake an additional 5 minutes.
Roasted Garlic. Here's how: cut tops off of cloves (as in picture), place each head in one compartment on a muffin tin, pour 2 tbsp olive oil on top of each head, add fresh cracked pepper and maldon sea salt, cover lightly with aluminum foil, bake for 1 hour at 400°F. Spread on french bread or eat plain. So good.
Sausage Steam Pot with Potatoes. My mom would make this for me when I was little and she'd always make a cabbage, potato, sausage boil. This is a little different but reminds me of her recipe. Plus I can make it in a crockpot! Husband loved this. Said it was the best cabbage he had ever eaten!
