This quote reminds me of the character Iago. He chooses to betray Othello and feed him lies about his relationship to Desdemona, causing Othello to doubt Desdemona's fidelity and ultimately murder her. People remember when you've gossiped about them about things that werent true and how horrible they felt because of it. they may not remember what the gossip was but will always have that horrible feeling attached to you so be nice, get your facts straight and treat people how you wish to be treated
