DIY oil-rubbed bronze fixtures, can be done to towel rods and other fixtures too... GENIUS! I just finished this project throughout my home. Hinges, knobs, tub, shower and light fixtures. Looks amazing and seems to be wearing very well. I primed each item with a car primer from Pep Boys to insure wear-ability. I love the updated look. I’m about to tackle the shower doors. Wish me luck!!
The Collins Team is listing a home with a traditional "gold edge" shower door. Here is a great fix for those doors which lasts, has a lovely finish, and costs $8 in supplies. First tape off the mirror and wall edges and cover-up anything you don't want painted. Use Rustoleum Oil Rubbed Bronze (or one of the other colors in the OIL line) & say goodbye to your ugly gold shower door! Presto!
Boy! I wish I knew a lot earlier in my life!!! Aluminum foil as fixture protector - the foil molds to the shape of whatever it's covering and stays firmly in place until the job is complete. > this is a great tip!
